Track Operations
1. Authorized personnel only on the track.
2. Puller must have tractor in neutral and hands off controls while tractor is being hooked to sled.
3. No portion of the tractor may interfere with the sled hitch.
4. Any portion the tractor that comes in contact with the track boundary line will result in disqualification. (i.e.) Front or rear tire contact. Side boundary lines end at full pull line.
5. The pull ends upon the flagman’s waive of the red flag.
6. Two attempts* to move the sled are permitted, provided the puller signals with raised hand and cuts the throttle within the 25ft. of the pull. Only one attempt* during a pulloff.
7. * An attempt is considered the tractor hitched to the sled, throttled-up and an attempt to release the clutch to put the tractor in motion.
8. A tractor obviously having mechanical problems may drop back (5) positions. If there are less than 5 tractors remaining the drop will be to last hook.
9. The first puller in any class may,
a. Re-hook immediately.
b. Drop to 6th position.
c. That decision must be made before the tractor is unhooked from the sled.
10. Pullers delaying contest will be disqualified, pullers will have (2) two minutes unless covered by (Track operation rule no.8.)
11. Any tractor dropped from a class may not re-enter that class.
12. Pullers may spot the sled at the start line by indicating to the pull back operator where to locate the sled.
13. Pullers must remain seated at all times.
14. Pullers may not smoke while hooked to the sled.
15. Pullers must keep one hand on the wheel (full grasp) at all times.
16. All weights must be securely fastened to tractor. Any weights or components lost from tractor during pull will be cause for disqualification. The pull ends when the flagman waives the red flag ending the pull.
17. All tractors will weigh out and re-check hitch height immediately after pulling.
18. Pullers may change gears without stopping during pull.
19. No adjustments can be made while your pull is underway. (i.e.) carburetor tuning.
