Rules Enforcement & Protests
The Ohio Garden Tractor Pullers Association reserves the right to request any puller to submit for inspection any part of the tractor that may come in conflict with the rules. This request can be made at any time. Any request would be made in private. This request can be made without posting any protest fee as described in protest rules.
OGTPA understands that from time to time issues are raised with respect to rules and other competitors. We encourage pullers that have rules issues, to come to the track officials for clarification or remedy.
Protests
In the event that all other means to resolve issues of conflict with the rules fail. Pullers have the ability to lodge a protest against another contestant.
a) The protest may only involve another contestant in your class.
b) The protest must be made before the start of the following class.
c) Protests will not be acted on prior to the start of the class. All issues will be resolved by the end of the event.
d) The puller making the protest must post a $200.00 cash protest fee with the registration desk.
e) The puller protesting must be specific as to the rules violation. (No fishing.)
f) The inspection of the tractor in question will take place with only the owner and OGTPA official(s) present.
g) Puller whose tractor is being inspected may cover up any portion of their tractor that they do not want seen during the inspection.
h) In the event the tractor in question is found in violation, the points and or days winnings will be forfeit. Tractor will then have to certify that it is in compliance before being allowed to compete again. The protest fee will be returned to the protesting puller.
i) In the event that the tractor in question is not in violation of any rules, the protest fee posted will be given to the owner of the tractor protested.
j) Anyone that refuses to submit to inspection will not be allowed to compete and shall lose all points accumulated for the year until proven legal.
All decisions of the officials are final.
