As 2011 season ends the plans for 2012 are already underway...

We would like to thank everyone who came out and pulled and those who visited to watch OGTPA Pulling.

Even with the strains of a difficult economy  we feel that this year was an outstanding season.
Changes were made, some were received well and others not so well. With all that took place we still hooked an impressive number of tractors again  in 2011.

In-spite of the rumblings of cheater governors and reduced protest fees, not one tractor was protested or asked to prove their equipment was legal. "Not one."

We had near record numbers of tractors at The Mantua Ox Roast Fair and hooked the youngest puller in Ox Roast history at the ripe old age of 3yrs.

2011 also brought two new events with the addition of  The Trumbull County Fair and The Fall Classic at Ohio Farm Science Review.
We have watched a whole new breed of tractor emerge in the Hot Stock division and Improved  Twin class.

Some changes will be needed to accomodate the less powerful tractors but we will work it out for 2012.

Just like as in years past our friends from the Ohio Mod Rods turned out in record numbers to pull with us. Look for new changes in the 2012 season to keep the Mini- Rod division growing.

Our commitment and goal for 2012 is to add more rewards for those who pull with the addition of contingencies and purse money for all classes pulling.

We will continue to provide a place for the youth pullers to pull and those in the stock or "beginners " divisions of pulling.

Seeing to it that the addition of purses and contingencies do not let the rule bending go wild. We feel that pullers deserve to have a little more for their efforts putting these fine tractors on the track for us to enjoy.

From the Staff of OGTPA,

"We thank each and everyone of you again for a wonderful season," Keep in touch with us thru the off season for updates as they happen.

"History Made on Sept.20, 2011 in London, Ohio"

With the first Ohio Farm Science Review complete a new era of pulling in Central Ohio begins.

Pullers from all four corners of Ohio and all points in between made the trip to London for Ohio State University's first pulling event.

In-spite of many of the first time event problems,  including the last minute 11pm Sept.19 back out by long time ogtpa sled operator  Johnson Performance Fabrication, The event rolled on and finished up in outstanding fashion.

From the youth stock division all the way thru the fine stock altered machines, to the high caliber "Spike" diesel of Calvin Becker.

The Ohio quarter scale and garden tractor pulling community was ready to make Farm Science's pull a favorite for many years to come.

As many special thanks go out to all the sponsors and family farms that stepped up to provide resources and help with the inaugural event, we would like to especially thank "Josh and Matt" from NTPA.

Josh and Matt over seen all video and replay productions of the pull and truly put a professional and world class touch on the event and we thank them and The National Tractor Pullers for their support.

I would like to thank all of the OGTPA staff and families for their hard work to make this event go so well. To all of the Ohio State student staff thank you.
Thank you to Farm Science Review for whom which none of this could have been possible.

As many events such as this go there is a person who goes usually unnoticed but not the case here. I would like to personally thank
Andrew Klopfenstein who came to us back in the wintery month of January to put this event together. He worked tirelessly to make this pull happen and not for him it would not have been the sucess that it was. " Thank You Andrew!"

And thank to you all the pullers who came and made this pull what it was and will continue to be a truly special event.
"Thank you all."

Please check back as we will be posting pictures from the Farm Science event and will have details on how to obtain a DVD of the day of pulling.

You may also go to the Ohio State link to watch for results and further information on the days event.
